It draws its cold from the main storage compartment utilzing a special conductor wall.  The exterior of the pocket is lined with both closed cell and open cell foam so items in the pocket chill faster and longer.  As long as you sufficent have ice or even ice cold water in the main compartment your food in the refrigerated pocket will stay fresh.

The round design is an essential element of our unique food storage system.  It's more space efficient, durable and provides many insulative advantages over traditional square or rectangular coolers. It also provides a more stable platform coupled with stabilizing pocket so the cooler stays upright in your car, boat or RV.

1. More cylinders (bottles/cans) fit in a cylinder which leads to a more compact design that takes up less space in a car, boat, or RV.

2. The more compact design means less external surface area for the cooler to bake in the sun and the cold to escape.

3. A round design allows incorporating a swing open that doesn’t pull the cold air out and force warm air inside so ice last longer

4. A cylindrical shape has better thermal retention than a square. It’s a scientific fact.

5. A cylindrical shape is stronger than a square requiring less plastic to maintain structural integrity and fused with metal particles in the molding process the cooler is exceptionally lightweight yet strong.

6. The round design rocks comfortably against your hip as you walk and doesn’t bounce or slide.

7. The round design is more stable than the taller rectangular soft-sided coolers so it resists tipping over in a car, boat or RV. Coupled with the stabilizing pockets and non-slip bottom it stays were you put it.
